Songs, musical films and posters… Their protagonists were preparing for national recognition of the achievements of socialist agriculture. They drove tractors and celebrated holidays. As time passed, however, collective farms disappeared, as did the workers, the so-called “kolkhoznitsy” and “kolkhozniki.” Their poetic tales of a life of happiness, abundance and heroic endeavors live on, waiting to be discovered.
